Winner of many national level awards like Sanskriti Award for Literature (1998), Senior Fellowship Award in literature by Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India (2017-2019) and National Junior Fellowship Award by Ministry of Culture, Government of India both in Hindi and Urdu literature (2002 & 2009), Distinguished Alumni Award by Global Jamia Alumni Network, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi( 2017), ICN Appreciation Award for outstanding work as an editor by ICN Media Group, Lucknow, Urdu Academy Delhi Award (1998), Navodit Lekhak Puraskar by Hindi Academy, Delhi (1989) and All India Drama Competition Award by Urdu Academy, Delhi, 1994. Apart from these awards, Mohammad Aleem has also written more than a dozen books in English, Hindi and Urdu. He is also a popular scriptwriter of TV and radio. Currently holds the post of Editor, ICN Media Group.
